History - The Kiwanis Club of Ocean Pines was chartered in 1980 by 25 residents.  In 2004, the club changed its name to the Kiwanis Club of Greater Ocean Pines - Ocean City, MD., and it has been granted a revised charter under that name.  Kiwanis is dedicated to providing important services to the community with a focus on children.  We invite all men and women residing in the Greater Ocean Pines - Ocean City area who are interested in community service to join us in this mission.  Today, we have 60 members but we are always looking for others to participate in supporting our children and our community.

A Message from Richard Clagett, Club President:

I am looking forward to working with everyone this year on our mission to serve the children and families of the Ocean Pines/Ocean City communities. We have planned a busy year ahead which will include most of last year’s fundraising and service projects, with an additional fundraiser, “Bingo Night”. The goal is to build on last year’s success and allow us to expand our contribution to the community.

I would like to especially thank the members that have taken the Chair positions for our club’s fundraising and service projects. Your role in leading the project is very important to its success. I ask the membership to be generous with their time when these Chairpersons ask for your participation. Making these projects successful is critical to meeting our financial goals and providing needed services to the children and families of our community. Everyone’s active support is essential to our mission.
